An Unforeseen Encounter … But Definitely A Tasty On!
During our quest to find the beloved waterpark, where all indications made it clear that the pen would be found on these watery environments, we found a local driver which, although local, had nothing but a local language. We are yet to find the language that he spoke but we believe it might be Greek. In any case, said driver was the man we trusted to arrive to our destination.
Nevertheless, it was only when we arrived there that we realised we may had trusted the wrong person. What we had believed was the waterpark was indeed, a plantation. But not just any other plantation. This was a banana plantation, one of Tenerife’s biggest economic drivers and the Canary Island’s as whole. To give a little insight on how important this little yellow object is, this tasty little fruit is present in 93.5% of Spanish Households. Known for its sweeter taste than any other bananas out there, this crop made us stop for a minute or two and put our prime mission on hold, as they were too tasty to let go of.
With an average of 360,000 tonnes exported per year, Dario and I realised that we were actually lucky to have this Greek “local” driver showing us one of the most authentic beauties of the Canary Islands, and Tenerife specifically!
We can’t promise you the pen drive yet, but we can assure you the Canary Bananas are as tasty as they look! Don’t forget to stay in tune with our mission, helps us peel off it off together by subscribing to our Video channel!
